Telangana Minorities Finance Corporation on Tuesday distributed 20 cars to drivers from the minority communities.
Chairman Imtiyaz Ishaq distributed Maruti Suzuki Tour S model cars as part of the Driver Empowerment Programme. The initiative aims to provide livelihood to people from minorities in the state. The car distribution programme was held at Haj house in Nampally.
During the year 2019-20, the Government sanctioned 300 cars for the unemployed Minority drivers in the first phase in all the districts of the state under Driver Empowerment Programme of the Corporation. Earlier, the corporation distributed 280 cars, rest of the 20 cars have been distributed om Tuesday to drivers from various districts of Telangana.
Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali was the chief guest of the ceremony and distributed the cars to the Minority drivers. Nampally MLA Jaffar Hussain Meraj, Malakpet MLA Ahmed Bin Abdullah Balala, MLC Mirza Riyaz Ul Effendi, Chairman Haj Committee Mohammed Saleem, Khaja Mujeebuddin, President, Telangana State Urdu Academy and A Kanthi Wesley, VC and Managing Director, TSMFC, officers and staff were present on the occasion.
