BJP leaders who joined from other TS parties feeling let down

Must read

Leaders in the Telangana unit of the BJP who joined the BJP from other political parties now think that they have been deceived.

Many senior leaders joined the BJP to defeat the BRS in the next Assembly elections. It is learnt that these leaders now think that the BJP may not be able to defeat the BRS.

They think that the BJP is limiting itself to mere words and is doing nothing against the BRS although it has many opportunities to act against the BRS.

One leader, who joined the BJP from the Congress told ‘The Pioneer’ that Telangana BJP leaders speak a lot but the BJP leadership acts diametrically opposite to it.

Telangana BJP leaders said they will send BRS leaders to jail, but not even a single BRS leader has been jailed. Moreover, the BRS government jailed BJP state President Bandi Sanjay Kumar many times.

“Telangana BJP leaders should not have issued statements like we will send BRS leaders to jail. But they have been saying it every day. BRS leaders never said they will send BJP state president Sanjay to jail but jailed him many times. The BJP’s situation in Telangana is like the ‘barking dog never bites.’ We joined the BJP with many hopes but the party is wilfully not using the opportunities it is getting,” he said.

It is learnt that these leaders have a feeling that it is high time Telangana BJP leaders spoke practically or else the party will not be able to attract voters. Now these leaders are discussing with each other after the Karnataka results about what to do.

“We may lose in two ways if the party fails to change track. I think the high command is behaving differently. I don’t know the reason but it is not right on the high command’s part,” another leader said.

However, it is learnt that the BJP is going to change its strategy. As part of it, the high command summoned Joining Committee Chairman Eatala Rajender to New Delhi to discuss what to do. The BJP decided to organise a BJP state executive committee meeting on May 22. Shiv Prakash, Tarun Chugh, Sunil Bansal, Arvind Menon and state leaders Sanjay, G. Kishan Reddy, Dr K. Laxman and DK Aruna will attend it.

The party is also going to hold district Executive Committee meetings on May 23 and 24 and Mandal Executive Committee meetings on May 25 and 26.
