The BRS has registered its first victory in Maharashtra. BRS candidate Gafoor Pathan won the by-election held to the Ambe Lohal gram panchayat by 115 votes. With this, the BRS has opened its account in Maharashtra.
It may be recalled that the BRS was defeated in its first attempt in Maharashtra recently. The BRS contested all 18 director posts in the Bhokar Agricultural Market Committee election in Nanded district. But all the BRS candidates were defeated the party failed to open its account.
But by winning the Ambe Lohal gram panchayat by-election the BRS has started its journey in Maharashtra.
