Declaring that BRS President Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is against only the Congress and is friendly with the BJP, Telangana Congress in-charge Manikrao Thakre said that Congress leaders and cadres have to tell the people about the friendship between KCR and BJP.
Thakre said the Congress will come to power in Telangana if its workers work hard like in Karnataka.
Addressing the Congress Executive Committee meeting held at the Prakasam Hall on Gandhi Bhavan premises on Monday, Thakre said the party will take action if any leaders harm the party’s interests.
He asked leaders to maintain discipline and that no one should engage in activities damaging the image of the party.
Thakre said the party should plan public movements on all problems facing the state. He asked leaders to get ready for elections as they were nearing and that leaders have to infuse confidence among people.
The party will take action if leaders who are holding party posts do not work for the party. Those leaders must tell the party in advance that they will not do the work assigned by the party if they are not interested, Thakre said. The party will not tolerate if leaders don’t do their jobs, he said.
“We will not keep leaders who do not work for the party. Hard-working leaders would get tickets. Tickets will be given after surveys. The party will not give tickets to lobbyists,” Thakre said.
