Kalyana Lakshmi/Shaadi Mubarak is the boon granted by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for the girls, according to Minister for Energy G Jagadish Reddy on Wednesday.
Speaking at a function, shortly after distributing Kalayna Lakshmi/Shaad Mubarak at Munagala under the Kodad Assembly constituency, millions of women benefited from the scheme in the State. Local MLA Bollam Mallaiah Yadav presided over the meeting. Kalyana Lakshmi/Shaadi Mubarak cheques worth Rs 54,17,864 were distributed to beneficiaries. The Chief Minister Relief Fund cheques worth Rs 77, 500 were distributed to 21 beneficiaries.
Speaking on the occasion, Jagadish Reddy said that the Chief Minister gave top priority to welfare schemes, particularly for the benefit of women. The scheme has proved the government’s commitment to the welfare schemes. The KCR government introduced the scheme to remove the notion that girls are a financial burden on families. The Chief Minister Relief Fund is being distributed to everyone without any discrimination. It has been helping the poor to ensure that the poor do not suffer due to high medical expenses.
Farmers Coordination Committee president Sunkara Ajay Kumar, MPP Narender Reddy, ZPTC member Nalapati Pramila Srinivas Rao, Deputy Medical and Health Officer Niranjan, Tahsildar Johar Lal and others were present.
