In a shocking incident, the wife, son, and auditor of the ruling YSRCP MP MVV Satyanarayana were kidnapped in Visakhapatnam. Acting swiftly upon receiving the complaint, the port city police successfully rescued the trio within hours.

The kidnappers had demanded a ransom of Rs 1 crore for their release. During the incident, the MP’s aide and auditor Venkateshwar Rao, who had gone to deliver the money, was also abducted.

Visakhapatnam Police Commissioner Trivikram Verma stated that all three kidnapped individuals were rescued shortly after the police received the information. He reassured the public that they are safe. However, a few police officers sustained minor injuries during the rescue operation.

The exact time of the MP’s family members’ abduction remains unclear, but the police became aware of the auditor’s kidnapping on Thursday. The police have arrested rowdy-sheeter Hemanth Kumar and another person in connection with the kidnapping, causing a stir in the coastal city.

Using mobile phone signals, the police managed to track down the kidnappers and successfully rescued the MP’s family members and his aide on the Eluru-Amalapuram road. The kidnappers were apprehended after a pursuit, resulting in damage to a police vehicle.

The police commissioner reported that the information regarding Venkateshwar Rao’s abduction was received at around 8 am, and by 12.30 pm, all three individuals were rescued.

The authorities are currently searching for another suspect. The police will release further details of the case later today.At the time of the kidnapping, the MP was not present in the city. Satyanarayana, who was in Hyderabad, hurried back to Visakhapatnam upon hearing the news.

Meanwhile, Industries Minister Gudivada Amarnath expressed concern over the kidnapping of the MP’s family members and his aide.Several businessmen and concerned individuals visited MP Satyanarayana to offer their support.
