YSRCP MP Nandigam Suresh has accused Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan of being a pawn in the hands of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Opposition Leader N Chandrababu Naidu.
Speaking to the media here on Saturday, the MP issued a challenge to Pawan Kalyan, urging him to field candidates in all 175 Assembly constituencies in the upcoming 2024 elections. Suresh also highlighted Pawan Kalyan’s unsuccessful attempts in the 2019 elections, claiming that his candidacies in Gajuwaka and Bhimavaram were a result of instructions from Naidu and ended in defeat, as predicted.
Moreover, MP Suresh questioned the nature of Pawan Kalyan’s relationship with Naidu, asking why their dynamic shifted unfavourably after the 2019 elections. Describing Pawan Kalyan’s campaign efforts as orchestrated by Naidu, the MP stated, “Pawan Kalyan is riding a lorry named Varahi and behaving like a street bully wherever his owner Naidu commands.”
MP Suresh proceeded to pose a series of questions to Pawan Kalyan, particularly regarding his claims of championing a class war. Inviting him to respond, Suresh inquired about the specific class Pawan Kalyan aligns himself with and the source of the funding for his previous election campaigns. He further highlighted Pawan Kalyan’s reliance on the YSRCP’s welfare and development initiatives while promising to surpass them in the future, noting that Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s administration had already implemented substantial beneficial schemes amounting to Rs. 2.23 lakh crore.
Responding to Pawan Kalyan’s provocative speeches, characterised by physical gestures, MP Suresh questioned the validity of fabrications and suggested that the Jana Sena chief’s anger stemmed from his aversion to personal scrutiny while regularly subjecting others to criticism.
