Aim is to bring BJP to power in TS : Kishan Reddy

Union Minister and newlyappointed Telangana BharatiyaJanata Party Telangana unit president G Kishan Reddy said on Wednesday that he would work to bring the party to power in the state. He was accorded a grand welcome at the airport by party karyakartas.
Prior to that, Reddy, who spoke to reporters in Delhi for the first time after being appointed TS unit chief, said that he had always worked for the party “as a soldier” since 1980 and that he did not ask for any post.He averred that nothing was more important to him than the party.”We will move ahead with the sole aim of bringing BJP to power in the coming Assembly elections by coordinating with the national and state leadership and all,” he said.
“I won as an MP for the first time. Out of four years, I was the Minister of State for Home Affairs for about two years. Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave me responsibility as Union Minister. With this, I became the Union Minister of Culture and Tourism for another two years. Nothing was ever asked of the party. I did not ask for anything to become a Minister. The party recognised me. So far, I have been following the party’s orders”.
He observed: “I have nothing but party. A disciplined worker who works for the party.. for the party’s ideology will be taken forward in coordination with the national leadership, state leadership.. and everyone. We will discuss with them and move ahead with the aim of bringing the BJP to power in the upcoming assembly elections in Telangana”.
Kishan said that the central leadership would hold a meeting with BJP leaders from southern states in Hyderabad on July 9 regarding the upcoming parliamentary elections, expansion of BJP in the south, and other issues.
“The party leadership is thinking of bringing BJP to power in Telangana. Let us proceed according to a plan. Today we have arranged a meeting with the party leaders in Hyderabad. Prime Minister Modi is coming to Warangal on July 8”, he said. Kishan Reddy said that over the next two days, they will discuss the arrangements for Warangal Sabha and make it successful.
He said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a meeting in Warangal on 8th July. After that, I will take charge as the state president of BJP in Telangana”.
Kishan said that, though the central government initially thought of setting up a railway periodic overhauling unit in Kazipet, Prime Minister Modi granted a railway manufacturing unit to Kazipet. He revealed that the industry would come up on 150 acres with capacity to manufacture 2,400 wagons per year. “This is the first time that such a big industry has come to Telangana”, he remarked. He said that with the commissioning of the manufacturing unit, employment opportunities would increase for the youth of Telangana. The Prime Minister would virtually lay the foundation stone of the Railway Manufacturing Unit from the venue of the public meeting being held at the Hanmakonda Arts College grounds on 8th. Besides, the Prime Minister will perform bhoomipuja for the national highways worth Rs 6,000 crore.
Observing that a collective action plan would be prepared, Reddy said he would meet senior party leaders in Hyderabad on Wednesday night.
