The real estate industry has sought some updates in TS-bPASS. The state level coordination meeting to discuss problems of the real estate industry met under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari on Thursday.

Real estate industry bodies like the CREDAI, NAREDCO, Telangana Builders Federation, Telangana Developers Association etc. attended the meeting. Officials from the Municipal, Revenue, Irrigation, Commercial Tax and Labour Departments also attended the meeting.

The real industry representatives appraised the Chief Secretary about the issues facing them and sought the intervention of the government to solve them.

They said that mistakes in the master plan are hampering progress. Till a new master plan is prepared, the mistakes in the existing master plan should be corrected by constituting a committee in the Municipal Department, they added.

The Water Board has been asked to provide temporary connections at construction sites as is being done in the case of other industries. They said that approval for bore wells should be given under TSbPASS along with the building permission.

Similarly, providing temporary electricity connections for construction should also be made part of the TSbPASS application system, they said.
The builders also sought a technical help desk in GHMC and HMDA offices to answer the queries of applicants.

The existing IT infrastructure in TSbPASS has to be enhanced to accommodate the current and future system loads to avoid regular system failure.

Issues relating to mortgage registration, and resurvey of lakes in HMDA limits by the Irrigation Department were also raised during the meeting.

The Chief Secretary assured the representatives of the Builders Association that the government will resolve all genuine issues raised by the members. She said that the government wants to work closely with builders to create a good ecosystem in the state. The objective of the government is to ensure that the real estate industry conducts business smoothly.

She recalled that the government has brought in path-breaking initiatives like the TSIPASS and the TSbPASS to help the real estate industry get clearances fast.

Special Chief Secretary MAUD Arvind Kumar told the meeting that all policy issues will be addressed and measures will be taken to resolve the long pending demands of the real estate sector.

TS RERA Chairman N. Satyanarayana, CCLA Navin Mittal, HMWS&SB MD Dana Kishore, Commissioner Commercial Taxes Neetu Prasad and other officials too attended the meeting.
