With the changing political equations, Congress will find it very difficult to fight the BRS and the BJP in the Telangana Assembly elections.

The latest political developments indicate that the differences between the BRS and the BJP have narrowed. The BRS and BJP will reduce criticism of each other and concentrate on attacking the Congress.

As the BJP is in power at the Centre and the BRS is in power in the state they have political and money power. The Congress has to fight two major political foes in Telangana and also face the problems created by the state and Central governments.

In a big relief, Central investigation agencies are likely to slow down raids on BRS leaders. But the BRS is likely to dig out old cases against Congress leaders. It will not be easy for the Congress to meet the challenges posed by the BRS and BJP governments.

Power will give extra strength to any political party during elections.

It will help ruling parties to create problems for their opponents. Of late, money is playing a vital role in elections. Financially both the BRS and the BJP are on a strong wicket.

But the Congress is financially weak and its candidates have to bear their own campaign expenses.

But in the BRS and the BJP the party will bear the major chunk of their candidates’ election expenses.

In any party, candidates will spend money during elections only if they think that there is a strong possibility of victory. If they have doubts about victory they will not spend their own money or even the money given by their parties. Due to this, some parties may end up as losers. But if the public is strongly opposed to a ruling party then money will not work. But in Telangana, the ruling BRS does not face that much negativity. So the Congress is facing an uphill task taking on the BRS and the BJP in the Telangana Assembly elections.
