TPCC President Revanth Reddy said that the party has decided to announce BC, SC and ST candidates first. The leadership has given directions to show that the Congress is always on the side of the poor. Addressing the media at Gandhi Bhavan on Thursday, Revanth Reddy praised Huzurabad BJP MLA Eatala Rajender and said that he has been transferred from the BJP’s ‘Defection Committee’ to its Election Campaign Committee.
“The BJP cheated Eatala. Even though security has been increased for him why was a case not filed against the suspect? Eatala clearly mentioned the source of danger. Why didn’t the state government file a case?” Revanth asked.
He expressed happiness about the security given to Eatala and pointed out that the TS government had ignored court orders on his own security.
“Don’t consider the BJP and the BRS as separate parties. Both the BJP and the BRS are plotting to change election laws and we need a plan of action to counter this. We need to be prepared to face other parties head-on during elections,” said TPCC President Revanth Reddy. Revanth was speaking at the LDM Booth Level Management Programme held under the auspices of the TPCC SC Division at the Indira Bhavan on Thursday. From Gandhi Bhavan to villages everyone must work earnestly, he said.
“We should prepare our party for elections and face the BJP and the BRS. There will be a training programme for Mandal, Division, District and Town Presidents at the Rajiv Knowledge Centre in Bowenpally on July 18.
The appointments of mandal and division presidents will be completed by July 15,” he said.
He accused the state government of misusing power under the guise of administration. Pointing out that there are 34,654 polling booths in the state, Revanth said that the state government is manipulating the voters’ list and that the votes of Congress sympathisers are being removed.
He said that booths are being changed to confuse voters. The booth level agent is crucial in solving all these matters and added that the elections are half won if the voters’ list is correct.
Declaring that Congress workers should be alert, Revanth asked Congressmen to put in 120 days of hard work to bring back the party to power in the state.
