A meeting of South Indian BJP Presidents and General Secretaries decided to prepare an agenda for South Indian states.
The meeting also discussed the reasons for the party failing to gain strength in South India as in North India.
The meeting was held under the leadership of BJP President JP Nadda at the Telangana BJP office on Sunday.
It is learnt that the meeting discussed political conditions in South India, elections, ways to strengthen the party and an action plan to ensure the victory of the party in southern states.
It is learnt that Nadda asked the party Presidents and General Secretaries whether they are ready to face elections if it is held immediately.
He directed the presidents to take the development projects and welfare schemes launched by Prime Minister Modi in the last nine years to the people.
Nadda directed them to prepare a special action plan on the failures of state governments and assured that the BJP leadership would stand by them.
It is learnt that Nadda expressed anger at some of the BJP state presidents as they were not doing their jobs properly. But he praised Tamil Nadu BJP President Annamalai.
Nadda directed them to complete the formation of booth committees by strengthening the party.
It is learnt that the party also discussed increasing Parliament seats.
The meeting continued for six hours and was attended by the Presidents and General Secretaries of 11 states.
Later, Nadda had darshan at the Secunderabad Ujjaini Mahankali Ammavaru Temple on Sunday. He said that he is happy to have darshan of Ammavaru on the occasion of Bonalu and that Bonalu reflected Telangana’s culture. He also said that he had prayed to Ammavaru to fulfil the hopes of Telangana people.
