The BJP MLA representing Goshamahal, T. Raja Singh, had a meeting with Health Minister T. Harish Rao on Friday for an hour. However, Raja Singh clarified that he met Harish regarding a hospital issue.
He also made it clear that he will not join the BRS and that he will opt for political sanyas in case the BJP fails to lift his suspension. He said, “I will live with the BJP and I will die for the BJP. But I will not quit the BJP.”
Raja Singh said that he had sent a message to Harish requesting an appointment and that Harish had invited him to meet him. He recalled that he had also met former health ministers regarding this.
Raja Singh said that some people are spreading the lie that he is going to join the BRS. He reiterated that he will not quit the BJP under any circumstance.
Meanwhile, the suspension of Raja Singh from the BJP is still in force. The BJP had suspended Raja Singh for posting a video on Prophet Mohammed.
Former Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay had appealed to the party high command seeking the lifting of Raja Singh’s suspension but there was no response.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that Raja Singh had differences with the new BJP state president G. Kishan Reddy. In this context, the meeting of Raja Singh and Harish Rao triggered speculations that he may quit the BJP and join the BRS.
However, Raja Singh said that he had met Harish to discuss his constituency’s development and that he did not discuss anything else other than his constituency’s development.
