Social welfare and BC welfare hostels in the State are in a pathetic condition. However, the officials and people’s representatives are not bothered about the situation, alleged All-India Student Federation (AISF) State treasurer M Sai Kumar. AISF staged a protest in front of the NTR district collectorate demanding necessary facilities in the hostels, he said.
Led by AISF, the students raised slogans against the State government. Later, AISF leaders submitted a representation to NTR District Collector Dr S Dilli Rao and urged him to resolve the problems at the social welfare hostels.
Speaking on the occasion, Sai Kumar said that the State government failed to properly maintain social welfare hostels.
