Reacting to the comments made by BJP AP unit president Purandeswari, State Industries Minister Gudivada Amarnath has said that she has no idea of the financial situation of Andhra Pradesh. He made it clear that the State government had spent as much as funds for the people of the State. Every rupee brought by the State government will be accounted for, said the minister.

Speaking to the media persons on Wednesday, the minister said that the government was accountable to the people of the State. The minister said that even if debts were incurred in the State, it is only for the development of Andhra Pradesh and for the welfare of the people. The minister asked why Purandheswari did not question Chandrababu’s brother-in-law about the debts during the TDP’s five-year tenure. He further asked why she did not ask about the debts during TDP rule. Was it only due to the alliance of TDP and BJP during that time, she asked.

He said that every penny was brought for the development and welfare of the people of AP and accounts for all the funds were clear. Unlike TDP, the ruling YSRCP has account for all the funds they spent for the projects, development and welfare of the State.

He said that it would be better if the BJP talked like this about the previous government’s debts. “Does Purandeshwari not know about the misappropriation of funds during the TDP regime? Will she speak on this?” the minister pointed out.
