President of YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP), YS Sharmila, has been listed as a witness by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the murder case of former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy. According to the investigating agency’s supplementary charge sheet filed on June 30, Sharmila is the 259th witness in the case. Her statement, given to the CBI in Delhi on October 7 last year, contains crucial details related to the investigation.
In her statement, YS Sharmila asserted that she does not possess any concrete evidence, but she believes that the murder was allegedly motivated by political reasons.
In response to Sharmila’s statement regarding the Viveka murder, Nara Lokesh, general secretary of TDP, took to his Twitter handle on Friday to express his views.
Lokesh tweeted in Telugu, stating, “Sharmila has indicated that Viveka was killed by Jagan. Sharmila said that the murder was committed for political reasons. Lokesh tweeted that Sharmila said it was because Viveka was a hurdle for Avinash’s family.”
