A thousand techies of IT Hub, Hyderabad, will donate blood at a camp organised by the Telangana Facilities Management Council (TFMC) to celebrate the 47th birthday of the IT Minister of Telangana, KT Rama Rao, on Monday at the Divyashree NSL IT Park, Khajaguda.
Satyanarayana Mathala, the President of TFMC, said the camp is being organised in collaboration with the Red Cross and will be held from 11 am to 5.30 pm. Five doctors and 40 nursing staff will support the initiative. We are expecting a minimum of 1,000 techies to donate blood under the initiative ‘Gift a Smile.’
This is a unique celebration of a political leader’s birthday who transformed the IT Industry canvas in the last few years, he added. It is a great way for facilities management professionals and techies to celebrate a birthday by donating blood. Blood is the most precious gift that anyone can give to another person, that is, the gift of life. It is a win-win for everyone, Satya added.
He encouraged people to donate blood on the birthdays of their favourite leaders so that adequate blood will be available in blood banks.
