Two persons were killed and as many were injured when the car in which they were travelling dashed against the road divider at Kalaparru toll gate in Pedapadu mandal on Sunday.
Police said that the deceased Sarada (60) and Sreenu (45) were going to Gudivada in the car from Eluru. The driver lost control over the car resulting in it dashed against the road divider killing the two deceased instantaneously. One of the deceased Sreenu was driving the car when the mishap occurred. The two injured were shifted to the GGH here.
Following the accident, the traffic on the busy Eluru-Gudivada road came to halt. The police regulated traffic after removing the ill-fated car from the road.
