Six pilgrims were injured when the car in which they were travelling rammed a culvert on the Kurnool-Bellary highway at Kodumur village on Tuesday.
Police said that a family of six persons of Maharashtra state went to hill shrine Tirumala on pilgrimage. When they were going to the spiritual centre Mantralayam Raghavendra Swamy mutt from Tirupati their car rammed the culvert.
All the six persons travelling in the car were injured, two of them critically. All the injured were admitted to the GGH in Kodumuru. The car driver was drowsy at the steering wheel resulting in the car ramming the culvert, police said.
