CLP Leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka launched photos of the ‘Selfie with Congress Development’ programme on Tuesday at the CLP office. Bhatti started this programme with a photo of ‘Selfie with Free Power Signature’ by late Chief Minister YS Rajashekhar Reddy.
Speaking on the occasion along with TPCC Campaign Committee Chairman Madhu Yashki Goud, Bhatti said that ‘Free Power’ has a Congress patent on it. He said that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and Ministers KT Ramarao and T. Harish Rao have been speaking lies stating that the ‘Free Power’ supply is their policy and misleading the Telangana people.
Bhatti said that they had launched the programme to explain to the people about development projects executed in Telangana during the last 60 years and about the BRS government’s false campaign and its misdeeds.
The CLP leader said that they will take a selfie in front of development projects executed by the Congress and explain to the people about it. He said that the BRS has been deceiving people by stating that it introduced the free power supply scheme and there was no such scheme in the past.
Bhatti said the Congress is not using gimmicky words like BRS rulers. He said that the late YSR signed the free power supply file first after assuming office in 2004 and made that day a historical one. He recalled that the Congress had included free power supply in its 1999 election manifesto.
He said the Congress will provide quality 24-hour free power supply. The BRS government forgot the fact that it is only continuing power projects constructed during Congress rule and so there are no power cuts now. However, the BRS government has been indulging in false campaigns using money it got through corruption and misleading people.
He gave a call to the people to teach a lesson to KCR, and Ministers KTR and Harish Rao for spreading lies about free power supply.
Finding fault with KCR for asking the Congress why the Congress-ruled Chhattisgarh is not providing free power, Bhatti said that manifestos will be different in different states based on the needs of states. “KCR is speaking like a madman,” he said.
Bhatti said that they will take a selfie with the Metro Rail project and explain to people that it was the Congress that brought Metro Rail. He said that they will take selfies at all Congress’ introduced projects like ORR, the RGI Airport, the ECIL, the BHEL, the BDL and others.
He said that all Congress activists will participate in the ‘Selfie with Congress Development’ programme and asked party leaders and cadres to keep the ‘Selfie with the Congress Development’ photo as their WhatsApp DPs.
Madhu Yashki Goud said the Congress will organize celebrations at Nizamabad as the Sriram Sagar project completed 60 years after its execution.
Later, Congress leader Noothi Sathyanarayana gifted an album to Bhatti containing photos of Bhatti’s padayatra.
