Jitta asks BJP brass to clarify on BJP, BRS deal

Suspended BJP leader Jitta Balakrishna Reddy send a letter to the BJP leadership on Saturday asking 10 questions.

He said that the people of Telangana want to know the reason behind why the Union Government and the PM is remaining a mute spectator regarding the BRS government’s corruption even though they are levelling allegations of corruption against it frequently.

Jitta said that it is widely believed that the BRS is helping the BJP in other states using its election Funds. This was brought to the notice of the BJP’s leadership several times but the party turned a blind eye causing much embarrassment to the BJP.

He said that people strongly believe that the BJP and the BRS have a secret deal.

He said that as the nation’s largest political party, the state’s BJP unit has let down the hopes of the Telangana people. Issues like Mission Bhagiratha and other important topics should have been taken up by investigation agencies like the CBI, he added.

Jitta said that the most sensational case in recent days is the Delhi liquor scam, in which 14 people have been included in the charge sheet.

He said the case is moving ahead fast and asked why the authorities are keeping the Telangana CM’s daughter, Kavitha, out of the case when evidence points to her involvement.

Jitta said when Chief Minister KCR set up a SIT to investigate the attempt to purchase BRS MLAs, the Centre could have sent a CBI team and facts would have come out. But the Centre chose to turn a blind eye creating confusion among BJP cadres.

He said that when the party was facing an identity crisis in Telangana, the former State party President, Sanjay, infused new energy into the party. BJP cadres and the entire state want to know why Sanjay Ji was removed unceremoniously by the high command.

He said that for any party to assume power the top priority should be to strengthen it from the bottom, that is, from the village and mandal-level.

He said that Raja Singh worked relentlessly for the BJP but he has been suspended and his case is pending for months.

The BRS and the AIMIM are having the last laugh in this episode and earnest party cadres are left wondering why no action is coming from the high command.

He said the party’s intent is only to destroy other political parties and build the BJP’s image on top of that. He said that instead, the party should constructively build up its own image.

If the party thinks it can come to power in TS the way it did in Maharashtra, Manipur, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Goa, Uttarakhand, Bihar and Arunachal then it will be a grave mistake as the people of Telangana are politically conscious.

He asked the party brass what the BJP’s stand is on the Bhadrachalam issue. Merely invoking Lord Ram’s name won’t do any good for the party, but the party should uphold the values for which Lord Ram fought, he said.

Despite being in power for over nine years in the country, the BJP is now shying away from developing Bhadrachalam, often regarded as South India’s Ayodhya.

Today Bhadrachalam would have been a much better place if the revenue mandals of Gundala, Purushottapatnam, Picukulapadu, Kannaigudem, and Etapakalu had not been handed over to Andhra Pradesh.

He said the party should convince the Andhra Pradesh government to hand over these mandals to Telangana so that around 900 acres would belong to Lord Rama.
