Andhra Pradesh Irrigation Minister, Ambati Rambabu, has reportedly filed complaints with Central investigation agencies, expressing his discontent over the portrayal of himself in the latest Telugu film ‘Bro’ starring Pawan Kalyan.
Rambabu met Union Jal Sakthi Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in NewDelhi on Thursday and other department officials to discuss the Polavaram issue. During the visit, he also addressed the issue of the damage caused to his character in the film by Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan.
He held discussions with YSRC Parliamentary Party leader V Vijayasai Reddy and other party MPs regarding the issue involving Pawan Kalyan.
With their support, he lodged a complaint with the Enforcement Directorate and the Income Tax department against the actor.
Rambabu alleged that the ‘Bro’ movie was linked to a significant scam, claiming that funds collected by Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N Chandrababu Naidu and his associates in the US were paid to Pawan Kalyan as part of a package.
He conveyed to the ED authorities that the film was allegedly financed with hawala money. Additionally, he informed the IT authorities about the existence of significant amounts of black money related to Pawan Kalyan’s film remuneration.
“Pawan has publicly declared that he would charge Rs 2 crore per day for his films, but he has not disclosed the exact remuneration he received for the film ‘Bro.’ He is believed to be receiving both an official and an unofficial sum, similar to his official three marriages, along with other unofficial relationships,” Rambabu told reporters in Delhi.
When questioned directly about the complaints filed with central agencies, Rambabu chose not to divulge further information, citing certain matters that cannot be disclosed openly.
He also questioned the reaction of TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu to his comments against Pawan Kalyan.
