In all, 30 leaders and activists of the Congress and BJP joined the Bharat Rashtra Samithi on Thursday. Minister for Agriculture S Niranjan Reddy invited the leaders and activists to the BRS party.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao provided good governance to the State during the last nine years. The Telangana government has set an example for the entire nation in its welfare and developmental activities.
The State has made rapid progress in development and the face of the villages has changed. The BRS government has been providing free power round the clock to the farmers. Telangana witnessed rapid growth in agriculture. Telangana was the only State in the country to provide Rs 4,016 pension to physically challenged persons.
Apart from Kalyana Lakshmi and Dalit Bandhu schemes, the State government has launched the BC Bandhu programme too. The government has been supplying drinking water to every household under Mission Bhagiratha, he pointed out.
BRS leaders Sunitha Tirupatiah, Sathish and Arvind were also present.
