Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday visited the Gundlakamma project along with a host of TDP leaders.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that Rs 81 crore was spent on the Gundlakamma project during the TDP regime. But the YSRCP spent only Rs 22 crore. The crest gate of the project washed away due to poor maintenance, he lashed out. “The YSRCP government has failed to carry out Rs 1 crore worth of repairing works for the maintenance of the project. The contractor has stopped the works of the Gundlakamma project since their bills were not cleared by the government. The government, which could not get the crest gate of the Gundlakamma project repaired, is planning to establish three capital cities,” he ridiculed.
The TDP regime had spent Rs 1239 crore for the modernization of the Krishna west delta but the YSRCP government spent a meager Rs 200 crore for the same, he said adding that the TDP regime had spent Rs 27 crore for the Rallapadu project. “If the Godavari waters are diverted to Nagarjuna Sagar Right Canal, the water problems in Prakasam district can be resolved permanently,” the former chief minister said.
”I am telling you all from this platform that I will complete all the irrigation projects after coming back to power. I will also take the responsibility to implement the schemes that have already been announced in the name of Super Six,” Nara Chandrababu Naidu announced.
Naidu said that the voters of Pulivendula too have come to an understanding that if Jagan comes back to power the State will lose heavily. Though the State has all the resources it is not progressing due to the curse in the shape of Jagan Reddy, the TDP supremo remarked.
Chandrababu Naidu said that during the TDP regime, the granite contractors did not face any kind of problem, but now both the Chief Minister and the local MLA have a share in the granite business at Cheemakurthy. ”There is no security even for your lands in this Government,” Chandrababu maintained. Why is this Government taking digital signatures now, he asked.
