Revision of retired bank staff’s pension demanded

The All India Syndicate Bank Retirees’ Federation here on Monday demanded the revision of the pension of retired bank employees. The retired employees of Syndicate Bank held a meeting in a hotel here. Federation president Umesh Naik presided over the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, All India Syndicate Bank Retirees Federation President Umesh Naik demanded the Central government to implement a pension revision and subsidized health insurance scheme for the pensioners of the banking community.

He lamented that the retired bank employees have not been getting the revised pension for a long time. He said that subsidies should be implemented in the amount of health insurance for retired employees of the bank. He asked the management to meet their demands keeping in view the growing financial problems of retirees.

To this extent, the president of the federation explained that it was decided in the state-level executive committee meeting to submit a petition containing their demands to the central finance department.

Later, T Pushpa Raj was elected as the President of State Level Syndicate Bank Retired Employees of Andhra Pradesh, and Anagha Venkata Subba Rao as Joint Secretary. Federation vice-president Nagaiah, general secretary Abdul Jaleel, MS Bhatt, AP state federation chairman Kantha Rao and organizing secretary Ravichandra were among those who were present.
