Ambedkar bronze statue unveiled

The bronze statue of Dr. B R Ambedkar was unveiled by Endowments Minister Kanumuri Venkata Nageswara Rao, Legislative Council Chairman Moshen Raju, and MLA Grandhi Srinivas here on Monday.

About 1 one-tonne bronze statue of Ambedkar statue was made spending Rs 12 lakh. Speaking on the occasion, State Legislative Council Chairman Moshen Raju said that everyone should try to pursue the ideology of Ambedkar. He asked all to draw inspiration from Ambedkar to reach heights in life.

He said that unveiling a bronze statue here is a good development, and asked everyone to move forward with brotherhood and unity. He said that he feels happy that his admirers, fans, followers, and leaders held his birthday celebration today in a grand manner and unveiled the statue. State Deputy Chief Minister and also Endowment minister Kottu Satyanarayana said that the day of unveiling the bronze statue of Dr. BR Ambedkar and the birthday of Moshen Raju coincided and he felt happy to attend the programme.

He said that Ambedkar does not belong to a particular caste but he belongs to all.The minister lauded Moshen Raju as a great leader who has risen to the post of chairman of the Legislative Council. He said that his first duty is to work hard and show success in whatever responsibilities the party and government give him, he praised.

Civil Supplies minister Dr. Karumuri Nageswara Rao expressed happiness for installing the Ambedkar statue in Bhimavaram. The life of Ambedkar would continue to inspire the youths. The Indian constitution which Ambedkar drafted is the best in the world.

MBC Chairman Pendra Veeranna, DCMS Chairman Vendra Venkata Swamy, Tahsildar Y Ravi Kumar, MPP Pericherla Vijaya Narasimharaju, and ZPTC member K Narasimha Rao were among those who were present.
