The race among the opposition parties is for the second slot. The BJP wants to make sure that it comes second in most constituencies as this will help them in the Lok Sabha elections.
The BJP which was going full blast against the BRS as long as Sanjay was State President has toned down its approach.Sources said that in several constituencies the BJP wants to emerge second. This will help them gain traction in the Lok Sabha polls.
Sources said that Amit Shah’s visit this month will set the narrative. Inside sources said that the party’s focus is on the Lok Sabha polls which will be held in 2024.
Sources said that stopping Congress from growing will help the BJP to increase its strength in the Lok Sabha.
Sources see that the party might not win many seats on the face of it. It may be mentioned here that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao said on Monday that they don’t see either the BJP or the Congress as the opposition.
Earlier Industries Minister KT Rama Rao said that the BJP and the Congress are fighting for the second slot.
