A bear, which has been creating panic among the people, was finally captured by the forest officials at B Guduru village in Gadivemula mandal on Friday.
Velugodu Forest Range Officer MA Khan said that a bear had been roaming in the area for the last few days. The bear strayed into the JSW factory premises. The management of the factory informed the forest officials about the bear. The forest officials carried out an operation to capture the bear safely in which about 40 persons took part. Finally, the forest officials succeeded in capturing the bear in a cage. Later the bear was administered sedation and was taken in a vehicle. The bear would be released into the forest late. MA Khan said that the bear is around 5 years old.
