Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has called upon the people not to succumb to the deceitful propaganda of the opposition TDP.

Addressing a meeting organised on the occasion of the release of the ‘Jagananna Vidya Deevena’ funds here on Monday, the Chief Minister said that Chandrababu Naidu, who had promised prosperity to the masses prior to the elections but subsequently led them into hardship upon taking office, had lost faith in his own party and even his own son. Consequently, Naidu had become reliant on his adopted son and sympathetic media outlets to disseminate untruths and undermine the government and the ruling party. He remarked, “Naidu’s friendly media serves as a crutch for his self-serving agenda.”

The Chief Minister vehemently opposed the Opposition’s assertion that the State’s development had taken a backseat. He said that there are tangible indicators of progress, including the introduction of the ‘Family Doctor’ programme and ‘Village Clinics’ to bolster preventive healthcare, the fulfilment of specialist doctor vacancies, the construction of 17 new medical colleges, the establishment of 4 new seaports, and the creation of 10 fishing harbours. Furthermore, he proudly noted that the State had maintained its top ranking in the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) for three consecutive years.

He went on to criticise Naidu’s tenure as Chief Minister, highlighting that not a single memorable scheme is associated with his leadership despite holding the position thrice. He asserted that the TDP leader relies on falsehoods, conspiracies, and treachery to attain power.

The Chief Minister also derided Naidu’s intentions to file complaints with the Election Commission, remarking, “Those who have transgressed are now discussing lodging complaints against us,” and highlighting the TDP’s disregard for its own manifesto.
In contrast, the government has invested a substantial sum of Rs 2,33,000 crore in implementing a number of welfare programmes, treating its election manifesto as a sacred guiding document akin to the Bhagavad Gita, the Bible, and the Quran.
“We are combating the falsehood propagators in the spirit of Goebbels. I urge you not to be swayed by the deceptive propaganda. Unlike them, I rely on your support and the grace of God. If you believe that you have benefited from the government, stand with us in the upcoming elections and teach them a fitting lesson,” he concluded.
