The counselling process for admissions into Post Graduate courses in Dr YSR University Health Sciences has been cancelled following allegations of irregularities in the admission process of seats in medical colleges.

The National Medical Council (NMC) has found that instead of 7 MD General Medicine seats, 24 seats have been filled in Nandyal Shanti Ram Medical College. In Rajamahendravaram GSL Medical College, 40 General Medicine seats have been filled while 24 seats are available. It has also been found that more seats have been filled at Vizianagaram Maharaja Institute of Medical Sciences.

The NMC has found that private medical colleges received fake orders for the revised number of PG Medical seats in the name of NMC. The NMC is investigating the matter and it is likely that action will be initiated against the three medical colleges.

The Dr. YSR Health University has taken special measures to ensure that the students do not get confused as the counseling process has been cancelled. The university will resume counseling soon along with web options so that students do not suffer. The counseling process was scheduled to begin on September 1, but it has been postponed indefinitely. The university has said that it will announce a new date for the counseling process soon.

The cancellation of the counselling process has caused a lot of anxiety among the students who have applied for admission into PG medical courses. The students are demanding that the university take immediate action to resume the counseling process.

The university has assured the students that it will take all necessary steps to ensure that the counseling process is conducted smoothly and transparently.
