Anushka Shetty recently accepted a Malayalam film titled Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer in which she is rumouredly playing a ghost named Neeli. Mollywood actor Jayasurya is playing a priest in it. Directed by Rojin Thomas, the film will be made on an epic scale, reports say.
In her latest interview, the Baahubali actress opened up about singing her first Malayalam movie. “I genuinely liked the story and I am open to acting in any language. I watched the director’s Home and loved it.”
The 3D supernatural fantasy horror film will hit the cinemas in 2024. Also starring Vineeth, it will have stunt choreography by JJ Park of The Last of Us, Prey, Shazam!, Deadpool 2, Snake Eyes and ‘Titans’ fame.
Meanwhile, Anushka awaits the release of Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty on September 7. Produced by UV Creations, it stars Naveen Polishetty as the hero. The rom-com is directed by Mahesh Babu P. Anushka has shot for a common interview with Polishetty. The same is hosted by Suma Kanakala.
