Blowing the Telangana Assembly poll bugle at the ‘Palamuru Prajagarjana’ public meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that two family parties are blocking Telangana’s development. He said that the ideology of the two family parties is just ‘corruption’ and ‘commissions.’
He said that the BRS and the Congress have converted democracy into family rule. Members of the families get big posts and others will have to obey their orders. Only members of the family can be the party president or hold other key posts, he added.
Modi said that the BJP is getting accepted by the people of Telangana with every passing day.
There is a general impression in Telangana that Modi will fulfil the assurances he had given.
The BJP is thinking about commoners and will take Telangana to the top, he said.
Modi said that family parties are running governments like a private company and that all key posts like the Director, Manager etc belong to only the families.
He said that the BRS government is actually in the hands of AIMIM. People know who has the steering of the BRS government, Modi said.
Addressing a public meeting on Sunday at Mahbubnagar, Modi said that the people of Telangana want a BJP government. They want change. The Telangana people want a government that implements what it says and corruption-free governance. People want a transparent government. The people of Telangana strengthened the BJP in the last four years. Telangana doesn’t need fake promises but needs performance at the ground level. The BJP will develop Telangana, he said.
He said that robbery is taking place in Telangana in the name of irrigation projects and that the BRS is launching big projects for the sake of elections.
The TS government is claiming that it constructed irrigation projects and canals costing thousands of crores but not a single drop of water is flowing in these canals, the PM added.
He said that Telangana is the land of brave women like Rani Rudrama Devi. The number of women will increase in Legislatures with the passing of the Women’s Reservation Bill. The Centre is giving PMAY funds to women constructing houses, Modi said.
He said that the BJP-led Centre constructed 2,500 km of NHs in Telangana in the last nine years. The Centre is giving loans to street vendors through the Mudra Bank without any guarantee. The former Congress government gave Rs 3,400 crore to Telangana, but the BJP government is giving Rs 27,000 crore per year to TS for procuring food grains, Modi said.
The PM said that the BRS government is looting Telangana farmers and that the BRS which benefited from the loan waiver promise ignored farmers later. Now the state government is waiving loans in view of elections, he said.
The Centre is depositing money directly in the bank accounts of farmers through the PM Kisan Scheme and it solved the problem of fertilizers by restarting the Ramagundam Fertilisers Factory, Modi said.
