Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao gave B-Forms to 69 BRS candidates at the Telangana Bhavan and by evening started issuing them to more BRS candidates. KCR also gave a cheque for Rs 40 lakh to each and every BRS candidate.

While Minister KT Rama Rao, Harish Rao, Balka Suman and Palla Rajeshwar Reddy got their B-Forms at the Pragathi Bhavan in the morning, Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Singireddy Niranjan Reddy and Srinivas Goud got their B-Forms in the afternoon.
MLC Kavitha received the B-Form of Vemula Prashanth Reddy who couldn’t take it as his mother had passed away recently.
The day October 15 and the figure 69 both add up to the number six which is considered the lucky number of KCR. However, by the end of the day, a dozen more B-forms were distributed and the recipients included the leaders of the BRS in Nalgonda district. KCR handed over the B-Form to the Husnabad candidate at a public meeting. Known as B-Forms, the document is considered proof that a particular candidate has been put up by a political party. Gampa Govardhan took the B-Form for Kamareddy constituency on behalf of KCR.
Addressing the candidates before handing over the B-Forms, KCR said that except for five or six sitting MLAs, all others have been given tickets. “I am happy about that. There will be many opportunities for those who did not get MLA tickets,” the BRS president said. He asked BRS candidates to reach out to cadres during their campaigns for the Assembly elections being held on November 30.
In August, KCR announced candidates for 115 of the 119 Assembly constituencies.
KCR asked the candidates to use the services of legal experts and auditors while filling out nomination papers to minimise the chances of rejection. Before releasing the manifesto today, KCR paid homage to the statue of the Telangana mother and garlanded Prof. Jayashankar’s statue.
