Make ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalpa Yatra’ successful, officials told

Union Ministry of Culture Joint Secretary Uma Nanduri has asked the officials to make the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalpa Yatra’ a success in the Eluru district.
She held a meeting with the Collector and other officials and reviewed the arrangements for organizing the Viksit Bharat Sankalpa Yatra in the district.
Speaking on the occasion, she said that the Central government is organizing special programmes in the name of Vikshit Bharat Sankalpayatra to create awareness about the welfare schemes being implemented in various departments under the Central government and identify the beneficiaries who are eligible but have not benefited from the welfare schemes so far.
She said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi started the Vikshit Bharat Sankalpayatra on November 15th mainly to promote the government schemes. Especially the officials of bankers, postal, agricultural, and science centres should take special initiative for the success of this programme, Uma Nanduri said, adding that mainly the bankers should strive hard for the success of the programme.
Health camps should be organized as part of this program, she said, and suggested that details should be collected on the progress made by the beneficiaries of Central schemes.
Collector Prasanna Venkatesh said that they are fully prepared to conduct the Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, which is determined to reach everyone eligible for the benefits of the Central government schemes in the district. The Collector said that the Joint Collector was appointed as the nodal officer to implement the programme efficiently in the district.  DRO M Venkateswarulu, ZP CEO KSS Subba Rao, Eluru RDO NSK Khajavali, and other officials were among those who were present.
