Cong victory in Telangana will echo throughout India: Kharge

Stating that the current election is important for Telangana, AICC President Mallikarjuna Kharge said that the victory the people of Telangana are going to give to the Congress will echo throughout India.
He said that KCR, Modi and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi are joint thieves. The Congress does not fear the BJP, he said and added that Congress leaders would work for the poor like Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi.
“You (KCR) are criticizing Indira Gandhi. Where is Indira Gandhi and where is KCR? KCR is sitting in a farmhouse and ruling the state. Where have the assurances given in 2018 gone? You did not deliver even on a single promise. MP Vijayashanthi fought for 4 to 5 hours by rushing into the Speaker’s podium in the Lok Sabha during the Telangana movement. Where were you KCR then? KCR, his son, his daughter and his nephew have looted Telangana. The Congress will implement its six assurances it after coming to power,” he said. Addressing public meetings in Alampur and Nalgonda on Wednesday, Kharge said that KCR never met people and people must not vote for such a leader. He said the Congress is striving hard for a progressive Telangana. Stating that the Congress would fight for the poor, Kharge said that the BJP led government seized assets worth Rs 780 crore of the three newspapers floated by the first Prime Minister, the late Jawaharlal Nehru. He said that these three newspapers played a key role in the freedom movement.
