Rajampet district BJP president Sai Lokesh questioned whether the YCP government can realize the damage caused by the cyclone to the crops. It is stated that thousands of acres of crops have been damaged in about 14 mandals along with Rajampet and Railway Kodur areas of Annamaya district. Despite the alarming situation none of the ruling party leaders and public representatives have visited the farmers.
It was told that letters have been sent to the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister regarding the loss of more than 100 crores to banana, papaya and other crops.
Sai Lokesh said that he had visited 100 villages and collected the details of crop damage and sent them to his party president Purandeshwari. BJP district president Sai lokesh has demanded that the government should realize at least at this moment and prepare accurate crop damage reports. He appealed to the government to provide compensation to the farmers immediately.
