BRS-BJP tie-up likely in TS to fight Cong

Must read

Karnataka politics may repeat in Telangana after the defeat of the BRS in the recent Assembly elections. In the coming Lok Sabha elections to control the ruling Congress in Telangana there is every chance for the BRS and the BJP tie-up.
In Karnataka Assembly elections three major parties fought and ruling BJP was defeated and the main opposition party Congress came to power. The Janata Dal (S) did not get the Assembly seats as it was expected. Janata Dal thought that hung Assembly may happen; then it can play a key role in the formation of the new government. But the Congress got required majority on its own and formed the government.
In Karnataka, to control the Congress in the coming Lok Sabha elections, the Janata Dal (S) joined the BJP-led NDA, because the Congress is the main political rival to the BJP and the Janata Dal (S) also in Karnataka. In Telangana, the Congress is main political rival to the BRS and the BJP. Controlling the Congress in the Lok Sabha elections has become a necessity to the BRS and the BJP.
In this context, both the BRS and the BJP may have no objection to have a tie-up. But the problem for the BRS is if it will have a tie-up with the BJP it has to lose the support of friendly party AIMIM.  The present political scenario in Telangana indicates that the AIMIM may move closer to the ruling Congress. The AIMIM was always with the government in the United Andhra Pradesh or after State bifurcation. For the development of old city and for the welfare of Muslim community, the AIMIM sails with the ruling party.
If this happens there will be no obstacles for the BRS to have a tie-up with the BJP. If BRS and the BJP have tie-up it will become a strong force and can challenge the Congress in the coming Lok Sabha elections. To move closely with ruling Congress by the AIMIM, there is another reason. If the AIMIM continues its support to the BRS the Congress may encourage the MBT against the AIMIM.
