BJP national vice-president DK Aruna on Wednesday cautioned the new Congress government in Telangana, headed by A Revanth Reddy, that it should not shirk its responsibility of implementing the promised made to the people during elections citing the bad finances of the State as a pretext.  The Congress rode to power on the basis of the six guarantees.
She asked the new government to immediately deposit the Rythu Bandhu funds into farmers’ bank accounts.  Further, she said that women are standing in queue before gas agencies to get LPG cylinder for Rs 500 each.
The BJP victory in three states proved that the people would vote for nationalism coupled with development. Similarly, the SC verdict supported Modi regime on the abrogation of the Article 370.
The people know the difference between the guarantees given by Modi and the glib-tongued politicians of other parties. Hence they gave huge mandate to the BJP in three states, she reasoned.
The election results were like a slap on the face of the critics of Modi. The people gave clear mandate to the party that takes good care of their future, she said. Therefore, they ensured double engine circar in the three states giving the BJP huge majority.
The parties which have had a secret understanding among themselves branded that the BRS and the BJP were the two sides of the same coin slinging mud on the BJP, she said. The BJP launched several movements against the BRS government failures and corruption and fuelled the anti-establishment wave in Telangana, she said.
In fact, it was the BJP which advocated change of the regime in Telangana, she said. The voters gave assurance to the BJP if the increased vote share and number of seats won by the BJP in the recent polls was any indication.  The Assembly elections indicated that the voter verdict in 2004 LS elections would be in favour of the BJP going by Modi’s charishma. Compared to the last Assembly elections, the BJP recovered tremendously in the just-concluded Assembly elections, she said.  The BJP won eight seats in the Assembly polls, she pointed out.
