Officials directed to expedite land resurvey works

District Collector Krithika Shukla has directed the officials to expedite the process of land resurvey and complete the works by the end of December.
Chief Secretary KS Jawahar Reddy held a video conference with the Collectors on Thursday. Collector Krithika Shukla, Joint Collector S Ilakkiya and other officials attended the video conference here.
The Chief Secretary reviewed the land resurvey process related to revenue issues, land acquisition for national highways, warehouses related to Markfed, distribution of assigned land titles, registration details of crops damaged due to cyclone, paddy purchase, preparations for Rabi crop, supply of fertilisers to the farmers, promoting of millets cultivation and the ‘Jagananna Palavelluva’.
The Chief Secretary also reviewed with the Collectors about the grant of loans to women dairy farmers, layout works related to the housing department, the progress of construction of houses in Jagananna colonies, construction of government permanent buildings, MGNREGA scheme working days and the works of Swamitwa and Jal Jeevan Mission.
Later, the Collector ordered the officials to focus on the land survey process which the government is conducting.  She directed them to take steps to complete the process by the prescribed time. She said that the third phase of land resurvey was being carried out at 90 mandals in 16 mandals.
Collector Krithika Shukla told the officials to work hard to complete all the works including the ground truthing, ground validation and draft registration by the end of this month and advised that the revenue and survey officers coordinate with the field-level staff and show progress in the ground truthing works.
The Collector also ordered the officials to enumerate crop loss due to the cyclone preciously.
The officials should monitor the purchase of paddy from the farmers without insisting on moisture percentage, she told them. ZP CEO A Ramana Reddy, Animal Husbandry JD S Suryaprakash Rao, DPO Bharati and other officials were among those who were present.
