Telugu person appointed as BEE Media Advisor

Aspari Chandrasekhara Reddy has been appointed as Central Power Department ‘s Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) Media Advisor for southern states. He has also to perform the responsibilities as the nodal officer for the ‘Life’ mission. As the nodal officer for this mission, necessary measures should be taken for energy efficiency and conservation in the southern states and union territories.
Chandrasekhar’s responsibilities have been mandated by BEE, that are to provide support, advice and guidance to public sector power companies of Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The orders directed that he should work from the Hyderabad headquarters to achieve the energy efficiency targets, in constant consultation with public sector organisations, State government departments, power companies and other stakeholders in Telangana.
The DG made it clear in his orders that the programmes being undertaken by BEE should be monitored in relation to energy conservation and saving.
Chandrasekhara Reddy, who started his career as a journalist, successfully carried out the responsibilities assigned to him in the departments of information and public relations (I&PR) and energy conservation in the united Andhra Pradesh government before the division of the State. Later, he took charge as the CEO of Andhra Pradesh Energy Conservation Mission (APSECM) and retired.
A few months back he was appointed as Senior Advisor for Business Development and Government Affairs in South India and Union Territories in Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL).
From 2015 to 2022, APSECM won the prestigious National Energy Conservation Awards five times under his leadership. On December 14, 2022, he received the National Energy Conservation Award at the first level at the hands of President Draupadi Murmu.
