As per the directives of District Collector S Nagalakshmi, all 2,499 Anganwadi Centers across the district have resumed operations starting Monday. This marks a crucial step in ensuring essential services and proper care for children in the region.
On the first day of reopening, 1,051 centers reported children attendance, highlighting the vital role these centers play in the community. Dedicated women staff, the backbone of the centers, diligently prepared midday meals, ensuring nutritious food for the children.
Shanthakumari, the director of the Women’s Welfare Department project, said “hot and nourishing rice, tomato dal, and various curries were expertly prepared, offering valuable nutrition to the children.”
