Meanwhile, Hyderabad Commissioner of Police Kothakota Sreenivas Reddy on Friday said he was open to implementing new ideas to address traffic issues in the city.
Addressing a query regarding traffic restrictions during the movement of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the Commissioner said, “The Chief Minister has given instructions that his movement with convoy must not cause inconvenience to the general traffic.”
“Two decades ago I was in charge of the traffic department. I realised that drastic changes are needed to address the matter. We will have to look at options such as car pooling, restrictions on slow moving vehicles during peak hours or restricted number of auto-rickshaws moving in the city,” Reddy said.
