Ponguleti, Surekha review Praja Palana arrangements in Warangal

Revanth Reddy government has embarked on an exercise to implement six guarantees promised by the Congress to people during the recently Assembly elections.
It may be recalled that the State government has decided to conduct Praja Palana exercise from December 28 to Jan 6.
As part of it, Grama Sabhas would be convened and applications would be collected from people, according to guidelines issued by the government to officials.
Ministers PonguletiSrinvias Reddy and Konda Surekha reviewed the arrangements to implement the Praja Palana in the undivided Warangal district.
They described officials as ears and eyes to the government. They asked the officials to conduct the Grama Sabhas in two shifts from Dec 28 to Jan 6.
They made it clear to the officials to receive applications from people to implement Mahalakshmi, Rythu Bharosa, Indiramma Illu and Gruha Jyoti schemes. They asked officials to constitute enough number of teams in each mandal. Care should be taken to ensure that the people attend the Grama Sabha along with a filled in application.  They asked the officials to allot 5-10 minutes to each applicant.
Underlining the significant role of officials and government employees in the exercise, the ministers asked them to work with responsibility.  Enough number of counters should be set up to receive the applications, photocopying centres should be asked to not to overcharge the people, they said.
Acknowledgement should be given to each application received and the applications should be fed into a computer later.
