RELOCATION OF OFFICES TO VIZAG AP : High Court asks govt for details of space

The AP High Court conducted a hearing on Friday regarding a petition addressing the relocation of offices to Visakhapatnam. Farmers from Amaravati raised concerns in the court, asserting that the government’s actions under the guise of developing Uttarandhra were leading to the shifting of offices. After deliberations, the bench announced that it would issue an order to determine whether the inquiry would be conducted by a single judge or a three-judge bench.
The High Court also instructed the State government to provide details on the allocated space for offices in Visakhapatnam and the number of constructed buildings to meet the specified requirements. Conversely, it is noted that the government has filed a petition seeking to overturn the single judge’s orders regarding the relocation of offices to the port city.
