Congress govt will implement addl welfare programmes: Komatireddy

Minister for Roads and Buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has said that the State administration is being run from the Praja Bhavan under the Congress regime.
He expressed the wish that the people will lead a happy and prosperous life with happiness greeting them for the Sankranti festival, the first in the Congress regime.
Addressing media at his camp office on Sunday, he said that the government will implement all guarantees promised after going through the applications received during the Praja Palana programme.
The women belonging to poor families are utilising the free RTC bus travel facility to visit their parents’ homes for the Sankranti festival, he said, giving credit to the Congress government for providing free travel to at least 30-lakh women.
Besides implementing the revised Arogyasriprogramme, he said that he would initiate measures to implement INDIRAMMA houses, providing LPG cylinders on subsidy to the poor. The beneficiaries of various schemes would be chosen at grama sabha only, he clarified.
Besides implementing the six guarantees, the government will implement many more welfare schemes, he added.
All pending irrigation projects would be completed soon, he said.
A campus hostel would be built for the students at the Mahatma Gandhi University at a cost of Rs 10 crore. Foundation stone would be laid soon, he said.
Besides, he would also perform the ground-breaking ceremony for the Rs 100 crore Nalgonda-Mushampalli-Kannekalli road. The Gundlapalli-Regatta road would be developed into a double road at a cost of Rs 30 crore, he added. Similarly, the works pertaining to development of Darvesipuram-Pagidimarri road via Dorepalli would be grounded at a cost of Rs 34 crore, he elaborated.
He said that the government would develop all 12 Assembly constituencies in undivided Nalgonda district, he said.
Probe was ordered into the omissions and commissions of Yadadri Thermal Power Plant, he said.
The development of drainage in Nalgonda and also the development of the remainder of the roads in the town would be taken up, he said.
Further, all development works in the villages of Charlapalli, Marrigudem and ArjalaBaavi, which have been merged with Nalgonda Municipality, would be implement soon, he said.
