The BJP’s Telangana spokesperson, NV Subhash, said that Lord Rama symbolises “Nyay and Dharm” (justice and humanity) and that God does not belong to any particular religion or caste.
Reacting sharply to some people declining the invitation to take part in the “Pran Pratistha” ceremony at the Ayodhya Ram Temple by opposition parties, the senior BJP Spokesperson said, “Opposition parties, particularly the Congress, have been disrespecting the crores of people who worship Lord Rama although it has ruled the country for decades.”
He said the consecration of the Lord Rama Temple does not belong to any party or organisation. It is a holy ceremony being organised by human beings who have faith in God irrespective of their posts or ranks.
Prime Minister Modi and his government is instrumental in making the 500-year-old long dream of people come true, he said and added that Modi has always said that every function was blessed by the 140 crore people of the country.
The Congress due to its inferiority complex is busy appeasing a particular community for getting political mileage. It is interesting to note that Congress karkyakartas are eagerly waiting to participate in the ceremony the Congress high command warned to boycott.
Regarding the report that UP Congress leaders would visit Ayodhya after January 22, Subhash said, “All citizens of India who have faith in Lord Rama can visit the place for worshipping Lord Rama like they visit other sacred sites across the country.”
Subhash urged the Telangana government to take the blessings of Lord Rama by declaring a holiday on January 22. He also asked the government to issue a GO to illuminate all temples and conduct a pooja to create a spiritual atmosphere in Telangana.
