What goes around comes around

It is difficult to fix responsibility for electoral malpractices and what goes around comes around. Apparently after due diligence, the Election Commission of India has suspended Collector of Annamayya district PS Girish for violation of guidelines issued by the Commission resulting in irregularities in managing the electoral rolls during the Tirupati LS polls in 2021 when the IAS official was the returning officer and commissioner of Tirupati Municipal Corporation. The decision was communicated to the state Chief Secretary, with the CEO being asked to make a replacement. Following an inquiry, the ECI found that some of the complaints against him were true.
