Pointing out that former Minister G. Jagdish Reddy went to jail while selling liquor illegally during the ban on liquor in the state, Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said that Jagdish Reddy will go to jail after former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and family.
He said that nobody can prevent Jagdish from going to jail after a comprehensive inquiry into the misdeeds in the Power Department. He said that nobody can stop the probes by the Vigilance and a sitting judge into the misdeeds in the power department.
Venkat said that there is a need to find out how Jagdish Reddy, who wore paragon slippers earlier, acquired assets worth thousands of crores and farmhouses.
He said that Jagdish Reddy acted as a broker when KCR was dealing with the cold war between KTR and Harish Rao. “I was wondering why a cheap man like Jagdish Reddy is making allegations against me as I live among the people and for the people. I gave up my Minister post for the sake of Telangana. However, Jagdish Reddy behaved in tune with KCR to get a Minister post.
He has been carrying out a false campaign against me saying that I am involved in
scams regarding the Yadadri Power Plant, the Bhadradri Power Plant and the Chhattisgarh Power Purchase agreements. However, I will reveal details of Jagdish Reddy soon,” Venkat said here on Monday.
He said that nothing can happen to his image just because an arrogant man like Jagdish Reddy levels false allegations against him.
