Government Advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy has said that YSRCP is a party which is aligned with the aspirations and ideas of former Chief Minister and people’s leader Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy. “The main aim is to associate with the downtrodden communities. CM Jagan Mohan Reddy has proved his sincerity by erecting the statue of Dr BR Ambedkar,” Sajjala said.
He said the YS Jagan government has been consistently working for the development of marginalised sections of society. The Chief Minister has not only fulfilled all the electoral promises, but also implemented the welfare programmes which were not outlined in the party’s manifesto for the 2019 Assembly elections.
Sajjala unveiled the Andhra Pradesh SC and ST Gazetted Officers Welfare Association’s diary here on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, the YSRCP leader said that after assuming office, CM Jagan turned his focus towards the development of weaker sections which were largely sidelined by the previous governments.
Calling upon the SC and ST employees to play a key role in the government’s efforts to uplift the economically weaker sections of society, Sajjala said the government ensured 80 percent representation for the candidates from BC, SC and ST communities in the village/ward secretariat jobs.
Emphasising the need for taking the government’s welfare schemes to the people, Sajjala said that the progress and welfare achieved during the four-and-a-half years’ rule of YSRCP government is unprecedented. “As the elections are nearing, it is our responsibility to spread awareness about the government’s welfare schemes among the electorate,” he added.
