Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief N Chandrababu Naidu has asserted that the YSRCP is in dire straits as it struggles to find suitable candidates for the upcoming elections. This is a clear indication that the party’s era is coming to an end, he said and expressed confidence in the victory of the TDP-Jana Sena alliance.
Speaking at a massive gathering in Chittoor district as part of the ‘Rea Kadali Raa’ programme on Saturday, Naidu accused Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy of funding a propaganda campaign called ‘Siddham’ (prepared) with ill-gotten gains amassed over the past five years. Naidu claimed that people from all walks of life, including youth, women, and farmers, are now prepared to defeat the YSRCP, confidently predicting the removal of their flag in all elections. He questioned the necessity of supporting a YSRCP that, in his view, has brought significant harm to the state.
Asserting that the battle has already commenced, Naidu urged the people to brace themselves for the political challenge ahead. He questioned the developmental activities undertaken by Jagan in the last five years, challenging the government’s completion of any substantial projects. Pointing out the lack of water supply in Peleru and Punganur over the same period, Naidu, hailing from Rayalaseema, expressed disappointment in Jagan, considering him a traitor to the region.
In a pledge to the residents, Naidu promised to establish a district comprising Peleru, Punganuru, Madanapalle, and Tamballapalle once the TDP-JanaSena coalition assumed power. He also assured the populace of resolving local issues promptly and supplying water by completing the canals of Handri-Neeva.
Expressing concern over the wastage of 2,000 TMC feet of Godavari water flowing into the sea, Chandrababu Naidu proposed redirecting the water to Rayalaseema for regional development. He highlighted the damage caused by the floods in the Godavari, questioning the reconstruction of the Annamayya Dam that led to the loss of lives and destruction of hundreds of houses.
